The Maiden Adegbenga Osagie Ayodele Memorial Youth Empowerment and Scholarship Initiative

In memory of our late head boy, ‘Gbenga Ayodele, we returned to our alma mater on December 16, 2022 to educate the students on why they should imbibe the school’s motto: E Hu wa Omoluabi and refrain from illicit activities that are now very common with students of their age group in the town.

About Ilesa Grammar School

IIesa grammar school is a co-educational grammar School located in Ilesa Osun State Nigeria, It was founded on the 5th of February 1934 by Egbe Atunluse Ijesa ( Ijesa Improvement Society). The school Originally started informally at a temporary site in igbaye street ilesa Osun state Nigeria, on Monday 29th January 1934 before later moving to, B 191 Okesa street, Ilesa, Osun State. After a competitive entrance examination held on 18th January 1934, 21 Boys were admitted and became the first set of students. The school is presently owned by the Osun state government, but a significant contribution for the school’s development comes from the schools Alumni association.

In January 1988, two hundred and eight (208) Junior Secondary School kids continued their life journey at the then prestigious Ilesa Grammar School (popularly known as Ilegramms) in the old Oyo State of Nigeria. Most of these kids had no idea what lay ahead of them in life but whatever they’ve become today has a lot to do with their training at this school. This book is useful for many reasons and to different categories of readers.
